It was the end of the Covid lockdowns, I recently had lost a close family member and had been made redundant from my part-time job due to the business owner's retirement. I was very out of sorts and needed to be somewhere beautiful, calm, in sunshine and preferably near trees and water. So I ventured to Burghley Park in Stamford many times over a year to sit, draw, ponder, recover and slowly rebuild and find a new direction, this work comes from that experience.
